blink
watching the night grow
rising from the horizon
deep indigo eyes

barriers dissolve in the night
like lovers talking in the dark
one ends where the other begins
words float free
and find their way quicker
thoughts are pulled
from deep wells
to be shared
as cool wine sipped
with a sprinkling of stars
that dance over the tongue
straight to the heart
