sun kiss on my cheek
and those crazy places fill
a rising stillness

a brown smell, wet leaves
the dark scent of expanding
possibilities

eyes closed and drifting
sunlight falling through water

blue sky meets the earth
follow that long endless edge
wide as my smile

dancing over me

filled with a white light

as I closed the door
I left you out in the night
listen to the stars

the sky is falling
